Eden Hazard 'agrees' Real Madrid move - teammate reveals

CHELSEA players think Eden Hazard has agreed a deal to join Real Madrid.

Hazard has been on Real Madrid’s radar for years and has been dropping hints since the summer that he could make the move.

And McGarry claims the players in the Chelsea dressing room think he will be off.

“Something that’s affecting Chelsea now is Eden Hazard,” McGarry said on the Sunday Supplement.

“There’s a feeling in the dressing room that he’s agreed a deal to go to Real Madrid and the reason he’s so calm about everything and not having contract negotiations with Chelsea is he has this option and he’s just waiting to exercise it.

“And now Chelsea are definitely a striker away from being Premier League contenders. Morata and Giroud are not scoring enough goals and they’re not good enough to give you the 20-odd goals you need.

“Hazard’s playing at a false nine and while he’s a brilliant player, is he going to get you 24 goals? Probably not.”

Hazard hinted in the summer that it ‘could be time’ for him to move on, but instead he stayed at Stamford Bridge and helped them start the season well.

But results have gradually declined and they find themselves 11 points behind league leaders Liverpool and almost certainly out of the title race already.

Hazard’s form has waned too after an explosive start to the season.

The 27-year-old has scored just two goals in his last 11 games despite having 10 for the season.

Madrid are in need of some spark after the summer departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Gareth Bale has failed to pick up the mantle and there are problems with Isco.

Zinedine Zidane was a big fan of Hazard and his departure made a deal slightly less likely with Florentino Perez obsessed with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

But with both of those unobtainable until at least the summer a play for Hazard could be made in January.

Chelsea are desperately trying to get Hazard to sign a new deal at the club and will pay him £300,000 a week but have had little acknowledgment from the player or his agent.
