Arsenal star Ramsey agrees Juventus deal, he’ll be second-best paid player behind Ronaldo

ARSENAL midfielder Aaron Ramsey will join Juventus in the summer, according to reports.

The Wales international’s future had been up in the air after contract talks broke down.

But, according to The Guardian, he has now agreed terms with the Old Lady.

Ramsey - who has been strutting his stuff in north London for a decade - will be give a starting berth in the Juve engine room.

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague claimed earlier this week that two La Liga sides were also vying for his signature.

“Because he’s free, he’s got quality and experience he is wanted by many others including two Spanish clubs,” he told the GB Transfer Podcast.

“I think he’s said no to one of them, but he’s considering the other one which means he hasn’t taken a decision yet of going to Juventus yet.

“He’s leaving that for a little bit later.”

BBC Sport reporter David Ornstein had suggested Ramsey and his agent flirted with Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Juventus, PSG and Real Madrid.

“Meanwhile, I’ll ask which clubs those are but I can’t imagine that it’s Sevilla or Atletico Madrid even though it’s the kind of quality player that could go to one of those,” Ballague added.

“They both look after the money, in the case of Atletico Madrid they have got a huge wage bill that if they can get somebody of that calibre with just a signing bonus then they would probably go for that.”

Arsenal are already making moves to replace Ramsey.

Unai Emery has been heavily linked with Barcelona ace Denis Suarez.

The Spaniard worked with Suarez at Sevilla and is keen on a reunion.

The 24-year-old had options to leave the Nou Camp in the summer but opted to fight for a first-team spot.

Despite toiling away, his efforts have been unsuccessful and he’s managed a meagre two league appearances this season.

La Liga football expert Graham Hunter says Suarez isn’t good enough to make the grade at Barca.

Hunter told Eleven Sports: “I cannot hide the fact that I think there is something in his make up which is lacking in order for him to be a top 14 player at Barcelona.

“And therefore having said ‘I’m staying, I’m staying, I’m going to show my worth’, my hat goes off to that.

“I’d love him to go to a place where they back him, play him and allow him to flourish.”
