Real Madrid prepare £100m Eden Hazard and Christian Eriksen bid - but there's a twist

  • REAL MADRID are set to bid £50m each for BOTH Eden Hazard and Christian Eriksen to get the ball rolling on their summer spending.

Real Madrid reportedly want both players this summer and will start their moves with a low ball offer, according to the media.

It is claimed Madrid expect to see the bids rejected and will then begin negotiations for the players.

Hazard and Eriksen are seen as gettable targets by the Spanish giants due to their contract situations.

Hazard will have just 12 months on his deal in the summer and is likely to leave then unless a new contract is agreed.

Eriksen is in a similar boat and has been stalling on an offer from Tottenham since before Christmas.

Both players have been identified as options to improve their attack following a difficult start to the season.

Madrid are still getting over the loss of Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane.

Julen Lopetegui was sacked in October and Santiago Solari is in charge, but has also struggled of late.

He is expected to be replaced this summer with Jose Mourinho and Mauricio Pochettino on their short list.

But it is the player market Florentino Perez is lining up at the moment with Hazard and Eriksen on his shortlist.

Perez dreams of signing Neymar but knows his front line needs a complete overhaul with Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale not doing the business.

Marco Asensio has also failed to build on the promise he showed at the start of last season with just one goal in 16 La Liga games.

Madrid want Eriksen to be Luka Modric’s successor in midfield while Hazard would fill the Ronaldo void.

Chelsea have offered Hazard £300,000 a week but talks have stalled over the new deal and he is keeping his options open.
